Congratulations to all the winners on the goodreads book giveaway, I will get all the books out as soon as possible. I did have to hold the release date off for a couple weeks due to some editing issues, I apologize for that, but the issues are being taken care of, as soon as it is done I’ll get them all out in the mail.
There is one thing I realized while reading the last book I read, I love physical copies of books. I always buy digital copies, but end up buying the physical copy anyways. I love being home with the light on and turning the pages. For some reason, I don’t get that feeling when I read digital copies. I have so many books, I don’t know what I’ll do with them all. I do go back every once and a while to find something I read in a book from a couple years ago, that I wanted to reread. My bookshelf is set up to have my favorite books in it; the books I think about. I just don’t get any of those feelings when I read digital books. Not that digital books are bad, I personally don’t find them as fun as real books. Digital copies let you buy the book cheaper; sometimes, and you can have the book right then. Physical copies of books are more expensive, but there is one thing that they have that I don’t get from digital copies. After the ending of the book, after it’s reached its climax and is resting itself in my head, or that feeling that I get of being blown away by the ending; I get to close the book and give out a sigh, and say that was really good, then read the back cover over, as though I missed something or a yearning wishing the book was longer or had more to read. I don’t know if that is true or not.
One thing I can say for sure right now is, I have a head cold and any kind of lights are giving me a headache right now; including typing this, so a kindle book is no good, had to order a couple books off Amazon today.
I’m curious about other readers, do you feel the same way about books and eBooks or are you the other way around? I’d love to hear what other people think about the two, or what you prefer?
Have a good week
